Christine Matovich created Museovich Productions in October 2001. A classically trained musician in voice and cello, she noted the lack of business and marketing training and accessibility amongst classical musicians. Always being interested in crossover music, and the business of popular music, she created a popular underground club character "the Dominatrix Diva", performing opera arias with dance beats and original music that was classically fused with club mixes and electronica. The various day jobs she held as an artist allowed her to work in the upper echelon of financial corporate America where she learned about marketing, financing, and legal contracts. |
| Those experiences and her affiliation with a very talented group of artists (Tenesh Webber, photography, Janise Yntema-graphic design, lionel Cohen-electronica mixes, web design, Michael Daly, costumer) and the most sought after Mastering Engineer and Mastering Lab-Mark Christensen, EngineRoom Audio, became the vital components of realizing Museovich Productions. | |
Her
first group to produce was the St. Agnes Choir-an a cappella Choir
located across from Grand Central Station in Manhattan that performs the Latin
Mass on Sundays. The music is based traditionally on the Tridentine Mass,
and consists of Gregorian Chants and polyphony. Noting the success and distribution
of the St. Agnes CD (St. Agnes Choir-A Treasure of Inestimable Value,
available at St. Patrick's, St. Agnes', St. Francis' bookstores, Amazon.com,
CDNow.com, BarnesandNoble.com, TheOrchard.com), she was approached by Parthenia,
an established viola da gamba consort, located in New York, to produce their
CDs and assist with marketing, imaging and PR.

Their
current CD Parthenia-Sampler is available on CDBaby, and their next
release due in the fall will be released in the fall will be available at
Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com, CD Baby, distributed additionally through
The Orchard. Please visit the Museovich Website for upcoming details.
