El Camino Tan Largo is a compilation of three 20th century composers: Hector Armienta, Dennis Apivor and Roberto Gerhard.   Both Apivor and Gerhard use a unique and classical approach to their music.   Gerhard arranges folk tunes and tales to illustrate his musical descriptions, while Apivor uses the poetry of Garcia Lorca and the Andalucian countryside.

The recorded selections from Apivor and Gerhard are for soprano and guitar.   Mexican American composer Hector Armienta takes rich California, Indian and Mexican musical history, rhythms and instrumental ideas to paint his compositions.

The recording and music are 20th century, yet they maintain an approachable line from centuries through the composers' creative interpretation and research, keeping classical lines while offering tones, moods and rhythms that crossover into varying styles and colors of music.
